Cool CATs on exam eve
AHMEDABAD: Where would you find aspiring CEOs and CFOs barely 24 hours before they take their first Common Admission Test (CAT)? At home biting their nails, adrenaline rushing and doing some last minute revision? Nope. Most of them are thronging multiplexes to watch movies or hanging out with friends at their favourite kitlis.
The enthusiasm, excitement and tension is also at an all-time high.

Arti Boriya, 22, a working professional, says, "Just a day before the CAT, I am going to watch a comedy film, not attending any ‘Best of Luck’ phone calls and catch up with friends who do not know I am taking CAT." Boriya took a crash course at a local tutorial since she could not prepare during the whole year because of her work schedule.
Not only students, number of coaching institutes in the city have invented their own ways to help students fight the CAT stress. They have moved over pep-talks and motivational sessions and gone beyond movie screening and presents like pencils and eraser.
Nidhi Patel, 20, third year BCom student, who is taking her first entrance exam ever, "Staying away from home and pursuing my bachelor’s was stressful enough. On the eve of CAT, I am going to go to my coaching institute where they are screening movies and hang out with friends at a coffee shop."
For third year BCom student Niket Valand, "The tutorial where I went to, gave a pouch, two pencils, a sharpener and an eraser as a good luck gesture before the last session."
Parents too are making all efforts to ensure a stress-free CAT for their children.
